Kami betul2 bernasib baik kerana telah mengulangkaji dahulu soalan past year, kami mengadakan discussion bersama kawan2 yang lain. Alhamdulillah, kami dapat menjawabnya dengan begitu yakin.

What Does One-Third Rule Mean?
A rule of thumb that estimates the change in labor productivity based on changes in capital per hour of labor. Specifically, the one-third rule states that on average an increase of 1% in capital per hour of labor will result in approximately a 0.33% increase in labor productivity. This rule assumes no changes in technology or human capital.

If you spend any amount of time in the field of photography, you have probably come across the concept of the rule of thirds. For those not familiar with the rule, it states that compositions will tend to be more interesting if the areas of interest are located along the horizontal or vertical lines which divide the image into thirds, especially at an intersection between two of these lines.

So, how can we use the rule of thirds in web design? First we need to figure out what we want to bring attention to. In most cases that will be things like the main content and headings.

The easiest way to position the content along one of the vertical thirds is to have a sidebar which takes up approximately one third of the layout’s width. This technique will work on most sites, especially those with blog-style sidebars.

Taking advantage of a horizontal third is much trickier, given the variability of screen resolutions, whether browsers are maximized or not, and the fact that many (most?) websites content is database driven. For the most part, this means that web designers need to take advantage of other techniques to focus readers eyes on different portions of the vertical third. Using images and conspicuous headlines are two of the most common and effective ways to deal with that.

The rule of thirds and its close cousin, the golden ratio, can also be used to determine the optimal dimensions of images. For instance, whenever possible on this blog, I try to use images whose height and width are related by the golden ratio. This can be width / golden ratio, width / golden ratio^2, or width / golden ratio^3. If you want to avoid the tricky math associated with this, you can either simplify with the rule of thirds (width * 0.666), or you can just type the formulas into Google. It translates the term “golden ratio” into its mathematical equivalent.

pada minggu ini, tugasan seterusnya adalah membuat poster atau kulit buku dengan mengedit beberapa gambar dalam softwer picasa atau adope photoshop. saya lebih gemar menggunakan adope photoshop kerana lebih banyak komponen yang boleh digunakan. antaranya,menggabungkan beberapa gambar menjadi satu gambar.

imej di atas adalah keratan daripada tugasan yang diarahkan oleh Dr. Rosseni. Beliau menyertakan beberapa contoh video sebagai panduan kepada kumpulan kami dalam menjayakan tugasan brkumpulan. Dalam contoh video tersebut, pelbagai teknik yang digunakan dalam menyampaikan mesej-mesej yang berguna, antaranya teknik menggunakan kertas, video, menggunakan keratan gambar dan sebagainya. Apa yang dipaparkan membuat kami brfikir sejenak, bagaimana kami satu kumpulan boleh menghasilkan video yg begitu BOOOOoommmm….!!!


mnggu ini, walaupun kelas dibatalkan, kami satu kumpulan sama-sama menyiapkan proposal video.  Dalam proposal tersebut kami menceritakan sedikit sebanyak tentang jalan cerita mengenai pengambaran yg akan kami jalankan iaitu brkaitan dgn transformasi dulu dan sekrg. Transformasi trsebut brkaitan dgn teknologi yang digunakan dalam kehidupan seharian.

Perkembangan yang begitu pesat telah mematangkan fikiran rakyat untuk berkembang maju dan menyahut cabaran global. Dahulu kala kita tidak mempunyai peralatan canggih seperti kenderaan, alat komunikasi dan sebagainya. Seperti imej di atas, dahulunya kita hanya menggunakan basikal untuk ke destinasi dan jarang sekali kenderaan berat kelihatan, tetapi pada zaman canggih ini, pelbagai pengangkutan dapat kita lihat seperti kereta, bas, monorel, kpal trbang dan sebagainya……………

Berdasarkan slide nota kuliah mengenai pengajaran dan pembelajaran melalui internet, ia amat sesuai dengan tahap pembangunan masa kini. Saya ada mencari beberapa bukti atau pendapat untuk mengukuhkan lagi bahawa penggunaan internet dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran amat bertepatan dengan era globalisasi masa kini.

Antaranya, melalui pengkaji seperti Joerg (1995) Day (1996) dan Hambric (1997) mendapati bahawa pembelajaran melalui web lebih berkesan jika dibandingkan dengan kaedah tradisional. Tetapi ada juga persoalan yang wujud, adakah guru-guru di negara ini sudah melaksanakannya di sekolah-sekolah mereka pada saat ini atau masih selesa dengan kaedah yang biasa iaitu pembelajaran yang berpusatkan guru berdasarkan teori pembelajaran objektivis. Ini adalah kerana melalui perbincangan yang dijalankan mendapati kebanyakkan mereka berpendapat  kaedah yang baru belum pasti dapat menghasilkan pelajar yang cemerlang di dalam peperiksaan sedangkan kaedah yang digunakan pada saat ini pun telah berjaya melahirkan pelajar-pelajar yang cemerlang. Kebanyakkan mereka, samaada dalam kalangan pentadbir atau  guru menganggap teknologi komputer diperlukan di sekolah, supaya mereka juga dilihat tidak ketinggalan dalam bidang teknologi. Walau bagaimanapun, kita harus melihat kemudahan ini di sudut lebih ‘matang’ dan positif.

Penggunaan teknologi komputer dan internet bukanlah merupakan satu hal yang aneh lagi dalam semua bidang kehidupan dalam era digital dan globalisasi ini. Penggunaan teknologi ini  yang semakin pesat kebelakangan ini. Teknologi ini  memang amat dikagumi dari segi keupayaan dan kecanggihannya. Melalui Internet, maklumat dapat disampaikan secara maya dan global merentasi sempadan geografi yang jauh dengan begitu pantas sekali. Maklumat berkenaan dapat diakses pada bila-bila masa dan di mana-mana saja seseorang itu berada, di rumah mahupun di kaki lima. Banyak faedah yang kita perolehi :

  1. percuma
  2. mudah
  3. terbuka
  4. sesuai

Contoh dalam bidang perniagaan ia telah digunakan secara meluas, samaada untuk mempromosikan perniagaan mereka atau untuk menjual barangan dan perkhidmatan mereka. Begitulah juga dalam bidang pendidikan Internet boleh dimanfaatkan untuk pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Ini bertepatan dengan teori dalam model pengajaran yang sesuai untuk pengajaran berasaskan internetb ialah seperti  model Seels dan Glassgow (1996)  Model ini terdiri daripada Rekabentuk, Pembangunan, Penggunaan, Pengurusan, dan Penilaian sebagai rangka kerja pengajaran berasaskan internet. Pengajaran berasaskan internet sesuai dengan pembelajaran konstruktivisme. Ia bermula dengan persembahan masalah dunia sebenar, pelajar disediakan dengan panduan instruktor, sumber-sumber bahan bagi menggalakkan pelajar menyerap masalah, membina kefahaman individu, dan mencari jawapan kepada penyelesaian masalah.

Walau bagaimanapun, pada pendapat saya, kita harus mengkaji semula adakah kesan itu positif atau sebalik nya. Sekian,

i) Technology

In its technical sense, education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another.

  • The  term  ‘education’  in  the  broad  sense  is  not  only  a  pedagogical  one punctuating  down  to  the  basic meaning  of  the  term,  it means  to  plunge  a mans  body,  mind and  soul of  ignorance  .    It enhances an  individual’s personality and provides him  confidence to reach out to the world.


iii) Instructional media

  • Instructional media encompasses all the materials and physical means an instructor might use to implement instruction and facilitate students’ achievement of instructional objectives. This may include traditional materials such as chalkboards, handouts, charts, slides, overheads, real objects, and videotape or film, as well newer materials and methods such as computers, DVDs, CD-ROMs, the Internet, and interactive video conferencing.

Why Use Instructional Media?

A good aid is like a window, it should not call attention to itself, it should just let in the light.

it can facilitate learning or increase understanding of your material. Of course, communicating to facilitate learning can be a challenging process, often requiring creative efforts to achieve a variety of implicit instructional goals. Among the implicit goals that media can help achieve are the following:

  • attracting attention
  • developing interest
  • adjusting the learning climate
  • promoting acceptance (of an idea)

This reaction can arise from the belief–or fear–that the ultimate aim of instructional technology is to reduce or even remove the human element of instruction. However, most instructional technologists would counter that education will always require human intervention from instructors or facilitators.

Instruction–Advanced technology could significantly affect the role of teachers, as well as the structure of schools and classrooms. The use of instructional technology changes the teacher’s role from expert to facilitator or coach. Plus, instruction is no longer limited to the school building or classroom. For example, students can take courses from a global satellite feed or on the Internet. Learning can take place at home, at work, or anywhere else that has the capacity for a television, phone, or computer.

Assessment–Instructional technology will focus more and more on building feedback loops directly into the learning process. Students can obtain frequent and accurate feedback, make corrections to their work, and structure learning experiences around their individual needs. Assessment can be monitored by offsite instructors, plus it can be ongoing and cumulative.
